Although the “Anti-Hero” singer took a break from hosting the star-studded party for a few years, she held a smaller gathering this past Fourth of July alongside BFFs Selena Gomez and the Haim sisters. Meanwhile, the living space boasts high ceilings and seems to be decorated in neutral tones, with white furniture, tan walls, oak hardwood floors and white crown molding. Back in 2015, several of her famous friends — including Gigi Hadid, Joe Jonas and Martha Hunt — shared photos from the fun-filled weekend to their Instagrams. The home, which has eight fireplaces and 10 bathrooms, sits on 5.23 acres and features a sprawling back patio with a massive pool.

The Snowdens, beginning with George Grant Snowden's father, James McKean Snowden, who was born in 1831 and lived in Pittsburgh, had made their fortune in oil and gas exploration. Ironically, the public part of that beach is harder to find than the private parts. To the left, it belongs to Ocean House, a spectacular (and spectacularly expensive) hotel originally built 150 years ago, where celebrities like Oprah Winfrey, Jessica Simpson, and the late, great Regis Philbin were seen.
The story of Taylor Swift’s Holiday House — Home to “the Last Great American Dynasty”
After selling her two homes in Beverly Hills a while back, Swift remained with the $30 million worth home, the historical landmark discussed above. Taylor Swift has asked the city of Beverly Hills to designate her home, which she purchased for $25 million in cash in 2015, as a local landmark. The mansion is known as the Samuel Goldwyn Estate, and was built in 1934 by (you guessed it) famous filmmaker Samuel Goldwyn Sr., reports the Beverly Hills Courier. The New England home was built in 1905 and features nine bedrooms, nine baths, and is situated nearby Ocean House, the historic luxury hotel.
Haim shared some of the photos on their Instagram account Haim the Band, captioning them "single summer." After skipping the iconic bash for several years, Taylor Swift posted pictures on Instagram on Friday of her celebrating at her Watch Hill Mansion for several of her famous pals. A view of Watch Hill, Taylor Swift's Rhode Island property that once belonged to the illustrious Harkness family.

In a now-deleted Instagram post (via Business Insider), Swift shared photos of the partygoers on the beach, at the pool, and in front of the giant inflatable water slide that read, Taymerica, causing many to draw further parallels between Swift and the house's predecessor. Harkness was married to William Hale Harkness, whose family founded the Standard Oil Company. After William's death in 1954, it was reported that Rebekah infuriated her neighbors with her quirky and wild antics. Swift includes details in her song about how Rebekah filled the pool with champagne, threw luxurious parties, and played cards with Salvador Dali.
Swift no longer owns this ranch-style home, which reflects the midcentury modern designs of 1950s Hollywood, when it was built. Sitting at the base of lush green hills, the great location creates an airy, sunlight-filled home. Despite its modest facade, the four-bed, four-bath ranch features white beamed ceilings, floor-to-ceiling glass, and, best of all, a 1,000-bottle, climate-controlled wine cellar. It sold for $2.65 million in September, $300,000 less than the asking price.
Taylor Swift bought an 11,000-square-foot estate in Rhode Island back in 2013 for a whopping $17.75 million — which she reportedly paid for in cash. Because Swift’s home was privately purchased, the sale was not recorded by the Rhode Island Multiple Listing Service. That makes 10 Bluff Ave. the highest-ever recorded sale of a single-family home statewide, according to Mott & Chace Sotheby’s. Physical copies of the new album also reportedly include a handwritten poem Stevie Nicks wrote for Swift, featured on the LP gatefolds or CD booklets. The poem’s header reads, “For T — and me…” and throughout the poem, Nicks seemingly sets the stage for songs about heartbreak.
First, as soon as she bought the house in 2013, came grumblings from locals about traffic created by the flood of fans who just wanted to see the house. Then they got angry that she dared to stake her claim on the part of the beach she rightly owned, even though people had been using it for years. Next came the controversy over Swift wanting to rebuild a seawall on her own property. People claimed her construction — which was to repair damage done by erosion — would impede public access and would ruin the popular surfing spot. One of her first real estate purchases was at 20 when she bought a 3,240-square-foot penthouse on Nashville’s Music Row for $1.9 million. The three-bedroom abode is a corner duplex with soaring ceilings at the Adelicia complex.
The mansion was once owned by Rebekah Harkness, a high-profile socialite who famously married into the Standard Oil fortune. The name is said to come from the wives of mariners, who would watch for their spouses’ return, often in vain as the ocean took their lives, leaving the women widows. The property spans 5.23 acres and is said to be “the highest point of direct waterfront land on the entire eastern seaboard.” It’s also the most expensive privately owned home in all of Rhode Island. In fact, the 14-time Grammy winner reportedly offered up her saltbox house on the coast to Hadid and Bradley Cooper during the early stages of their romance last year. Rather than lavish paintings, Swift opted for black-and-white photos of her friends and family — which seemingly line one of her hallway walls.
Also, consider the property’s surroundings and integrate natural elements into the design. Exact current value of Taylor Swift’s Watch Hill house is not readily available. However, Taylor Swift’s net worth as of 2022 was reported to be $450 million. Her real estate portfolio includes multiple properties, each with its own value.
The “Reputation” singer has been known to dine at the Olympia Tea Room (though it's now closed for the season), a neighborhood staple over 100 years old, just down the street. "She loves the culture and vibe of the city, and is particularly at home in North London, so this estate makes perfect sense," a source told The Sun. The Watch Hill mansion isn’t just about the structure; it’s about the sprawling beauty that surrounds it. The meticulously manicured gardens, with a variety of flora, offer a serene escape. Stone pathways, lined with seasonal flowers, lead to cozy sitting areas and water features, making it a perfect spot for morning strolls or evening relaxation. White cabinetry, paired with dark granite countertops, offers a timeless look.
The 12,000-square-foot beach house has been witness to the singer's infamous, highly-Instagrammed Independence Day parties held every year since its purchase pre-pandemic; its infamous history is the subject of her song “Dorothea” from Taylor's 2020 album, evermore. With Slim Aarons-inspired interiors, a magnificent pool and sprawling ocean views, Watch Hill is certainly one of the most valuable assets in Taylor's breathtaking portfolio. High Watch, formerly named Holiday House but locally known as the Harkness House, is an 11,000 square feet (1,000 m2) home situated in Watch Hill, a historic district in Westerly, Rhode Island. Swift rented this 1870 brick townhouse, made famous after her well-known lyric “I rent a place on Cornelia Street,” between 2016 and 2017 while her $50 million TriBeCa loft was undergoing renovations. Today, this charming dig is officially on the market for a cool $17.9 million or available to rent for $45,000 a month. Luxury features include double-height ceilings, antique Parisian brickwork, and a variety of glamorous chandeliers.
The estate is situated atop Watch Hill's namesake hillock, which was used as a strategic lookout point during some battles in the history of the United States. "So you work your life away just to pay for a timeshare down in Destin" highlights the panhandle city in Florida known for white sandy beaches and emerald green waters. A "timeshare" could be a metaphor for an unfaithful spouse who shares time with multiple partners.
Its prime location, combined with its architectural marvel and interior design, places it in a league of its own. It’s not just a house; it’s a statement, a testament to the allure of blending the old with the new. "Treasure Hill," an 11,000-square-foot mansion compound at 2 Kidd's Way, sits on an acre of land, with access to a beach, a heated saltwater pool and ocean views. According to assessor's records from Westerly, the living space of the mansion is 8,086 square feet. The coastal mansion, located at 16 Bluff Avenue in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, was built in 1930 and sits on the highest point in the coastal town. The 11,744-square-foot holiday house boasts 700 feet of shoreline and offers sweeping views of Little Narragansett Bay, per Business Insider.
With her albums, her buzzy Eras tour for which tickets can sell for thousands and merchandise sales, the singer has amassed a net worth in the hundreds of millions. The Hill House, as it's called, with its charming shingle-style façade and lush lawn that descends down to meet the white sand oceanfront, was built for an entertainer – who doesn’t mind living next door to one. A source familiar with the exclusive enclave told FOX Business that Swift has a big reputation in the area for being generous. She was released on $1,000 personal recognizance and scheduled for a District Court arraignment on July 14, according to court records.
